The Burnet Bluebonnet Festival: April 13, 14, 15, 2007, Burnet, Texas

Come celebrate the rites of spring with one of the premier Texas festivals at the height of the wildflower season. The Burnet Bluebonnet Festival in Burnet will be hosting its 24th annual tribute to the State flower!

Visitors enjoy live entertainment on the historical Burnet square as well as one of the best hometown parades in the state. There is something for everyone!

See the Commemorative Air Force flying show during the day featuring vintage World War II era aircraft.

The evening offers a destruction derby at the rodeo arena.

Festivities for the weekend include Burnet Gunfighter’s Shootout, the arrival of the Hill Country Flyer train, the Kiwanis Bicycle Tour, a 5K fun run, a vintage custom car show with over 100 classic cars at Hamilton Creek, live entertainment all weekend, with a Saturday night Street Dance on the Burnet Square with performances by Aaron Watson!

Enjoy shopping at one of the more than 150 craft and food vendors.

Kids will especially enjoy the Friday afternoon Pet Parade, the 5th annual Weiner Dog race, the bicycle decoration contest on Saturday and the Mighty Thomas Carnival starting on Thursday night with wristband night!
