The Second Annual Bluebonnet Blues & Fine Arts Festival: March 30, 31 & April 1, 2007, Marble Falls, Texas
The second annual Bluebonnet Blues & Fine Arts Festival is set for March 30, 31, & April 1, 2007 on Main Street in Marble Falls, Texas. Texas legends will entertain us with Traditional, Tejano, Cajun, and Gospel Blues. Two live Pianoramas round out the musical program for the weekend.
We'll also be serving up Cajun Crawfish, Texas Fajitas, New Orleans Style Gumbo, Burgers and Dogs, and Tasty Treats. Sodas, water, beer and wine will be available to wash it all down.
Festivals are family events, and there will be special activities for the kids, including crawfish races, crafts, and games.
Most people are familiar with LIVE music, but we will also have LIVE art. Artists will "Paint the Town" live on Main Street. While the music is playing, you will watch as artists bring the town of Marble Falls to life on canvas. The style of art called "plein air" is a French phrase that translates "in the open air." This term is used to describe paintings that have been created chiefly outdoors, rather than in a studio. The artists at our event will begin painting Friday afternoon. Their entries will be turned in for judging Saturday by 3:00, when the Silent Auction begins.
This year we've added Fine Art Vendors from across the state that will set up booths along Main Street to sell their treasures.
