Texas Hill Country Wineries/Vineyards |
Whether it’s the wild grapes that naturally thrive in the Texas Hill Country or the influence of European immigrants who planted cuttings from their homeland back in the 1800’s, today’s vintners are taking advantage of the climate Texas offers to produce award-winning wines. In the Highland Lakes wine connoisseurs can visit dozens of unique vineyards that feature a variety of wines for every taste. Some vineyards have been established for decades while others were only conceived recently. This only makes it more interesting for visitors as they compare and contrast offerings at each winery. Not surprisingly however, all our local wineries have received awards and praise in local, national and international competitions. Combine that with our Texas hospitality, the beautiful Highland Lakes setting, and a genuine passion for producing and sharing truly great wines and its easy to see why many people plan their vacations around wine tasting tours in this area. |
